79 Field Hockey
Olympic Athlete & Coach Tiffany Snow Huisman
By Necol Keenan
It was such a pleasure to meet owner/director of 79 Field Hockey, Tiffany Snow Huisman. Tiffany has such a warm, positive and energetic personality. It was very apparent to see her genuine love for helping others achieve their best through the game of field hockey.
Her story of success through the sport of field hockey is very inspiring. Tiffany coaches field hockey for children 5 years of age to college age. Her goal is to encourage fun and positive attitudes. 79 Field Hockey has grown in numbers and is a huge success here in Temecula Valley.

“I started 79 Field Hockey in 2016 with the goal of growing the sport in and around the Temecula Valley. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside a great friend of mine, Katie Jo Gerfen, who is now the Varsity Head Field Hockey Coach at Great Oak High School. Katie, who attended University of Virginia, and I competed against each other in college, and became friends while working field hockey summer camps during our college years.”

“I started the Field Hockey program at Temecula Valley High School in 2017 and coached there two seasons; 2017 and 2018, before handing off the program to further commit my efforts of growing the game on the youth side.

79 Field Hockey kicked off our inaugural Youth League, on February 5th. We offer a number of clinics, camps, leagues and tournament opportunities throughout the year for youth, teens and adults. To check out all that we offer throughout the year, visit our website.  We have also partnered with the City of Temecula and offer many youth programs through the fabulous Community Services Department.”

Thank you, Tiffany Snow Huisman for bringing 79 Field Hockey to Temecula, and for inspiring our youth to develop this skill and achieve great things through this sport.
